Constance G. Bland Women in Science and Technology Conference (WIST) 2022: Women Standing Together Breaking Barriers in STEM

I was so honored to give a talk at the 2022 WIST Conference. The conference is now held in honor of one my first mentors, Dr. Constance G. Bland. I gave a presentation on the “Non-linear Routes to Success”. Going from attendee to presenter was one of the most rewarding things that I have witnessed in academic career!

The YESS webinar series features speakers who are in early career stages and who study endocrine disrupting chemicals or EDCs. I was invited to speak for the series topic on Racial/Ethnic Differences in EDC Exposures. My topic was on the Effects of Phthalate Exposure and Health Dispairities on Reproductive Health. This event allows MVSU alumni of the Mathematics, Computer, and Information Science Department to return to the university and share their post-bac experiences with current aspiring undergraduate students.
